School holidays at work!

Plenty of fun activities were provided by dedicated and enthusiastic library staff. Activities such as face painting, badge making, make your own picture frame and the Library Survivor/Whodunit mystery task.

Storytime sessions continued at all branch locations during the holidays. Some fun activities were to colour and decorate a bear mask and glue onto an icy pole stick. Some bear faces were very scary indeed.

Badge making - there were two size choices a large and a small badge. Girls and boys were able to decorate their very own special badge and take it home to keep. Small badges were a very big hit, as these can be placed on school bags and pencil cases.

Face painting was very exciting, with many assorted animals and cartoon characters emerging from little children's faces. We had batman, a vampire, a bunny rabbit and the list goes on. All these weird and wonderful faces were performed by the very professional face painter Angela McIntosh. Glenelg Libraries' staff sincerely thank Angela for donating her time and paints to entertain the children.

Look out for the Christmas school holiday activities, plenty of fun to be had by all!

My mum, dad and Karina live in Portland, where I work. I live in a place called Tyrendarra which is 25 km out of Portland. Read on..
